aflog FAQ (Frequently asked questions)

Notice!
Most of these FAQ are found on the support forum.

Q: When I try to install aflog i get the following error: "Fatal error: Call to undefined function: stripos() in /home/public_html/aflog/server.php on line 15" or something similar.
A: The most likely reason for this is your PHP version. For example, stripos() is a function defined in PHP 5 and therefore at least PHP 5 is required to run this script. If you are using PHP 4, trying switching or upgrading to PHP 5.

Q: I have updated aflog to the newest version, however, my plugins have disappeared.
A: Yes this is normal, updating aflog removes all modifications made by plugins. You will need to re-download the plugin that is compatible with your NEW version of aflog and install it. If none is available contact the maker.

Q: I got this error when i tried to change my skin: "Warning: include(sk/BlueP/sk_config.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/remotehe/public_html/mygrassisemo.com/host/acp.php on line 771".
A: The name of the folder you add to sk.ini is case SENSITIVE. Check that the case of the folder matches that in sk.ini.

Q: I haven't quite figured out how to post on aFlog. I created a user and logged in as him but I couldn't find a "new blog post" link or anything.
A[v1.0]: First sign in as an admin member, then click 'Control Panel' at the bottom (you will need to navigate away from the sign in page). Then, under the heading of 'Posts/Index:' there will be a link for 'New Post'. Enter your post and click 'Post', and your done!
A[v1.01+]: This problem has been resolved in version 1.01. A link for New Post has been placed at the bottom of the index.

Q: I have updated from v1.0 to v1.01, however i get this error: "Warning: getimagesize(y.png) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/public_html/aFlog/get_avatar.php on line 5".
A: The reason for this is because it is likely that you didn't change your avatar while using 1.0 so it was set to {_root}/y.png. However in v1.01 y.png moves to {_root}/img/y.png. To correct this, go into acp > blog (subheading) > avatar and select a new avatar.
